Our Communities

 

Manatí I Zona is located on the Manatí River. There are 101 families, with a total population of 449. They have a kindergarten with 32 children, a primary school with 80 students, and a high school with 80 students. There are nine teachers.

 

Miraflores is located on the Amazon River. There are 27 families, with a total population of 124. They have a primary school with 14 students and one teacher. They have participated in the AAS program since 2009.

 

Nueva Esperanza is located on the Napo River. There are 20 families, with a total population of 124. They have a primary school with 14 students and one teacher. They have participated in the AAS program since 2009.

 

Nuevo San Juan de Amazonas is located on the Amazon River. There are 26 families, with a total population of 124. There is a primary school with 28 students and one teacher. They have participated in the AAS program since 2005.

 

Nuevo Triunfo is located on the Amazon River. There are 15 families, with a total population of 62. There is a primary school with 25 students and one teacher. They have participated in the AAS program since 2003. Improvements to the community include reforestation and fresh paint.

 

Nuevo Triunfo CA is located on the Napo River. There are 20 families, with a total population of 94. There is a primary school with 13 students and one teacher. They have participated in the AAS program since 1998. An improvement to this community includes a piscigranje (fish farm).

Nuevo Uchiza is located on the Amazon River. There are 28 families, with a total population of 132. There is a primary school with 31 students and one teacher. They have participated in the AAS program since 2004.

 

 

Contact Us CONAPAC is a Peruvian non-profit organization whose mission is to promote conservation of the rainforest through education of its stewards, the people who live along the Amazon and Napo Rivers. Our centerpiece project is the Adopt-A-School program, which is strengthened by workshops and complemented by service and sustainable projects in river communities.
