The Best Hint I Have Ever Been Given
One donor/volunteer tells of her experience
I first traveled to the Peruvian Amazon in 2005 with an educator's workshop program, that is now known as the Morpho Institute. In 2013, the founder of the program, Frances, encouraged me to join CONAPAC's Adopt-a-School Project because she knew I was looking for a way to return and work and continue to learn. It was the best hint I had ever been given in my life.
I have traveled back to take part in Adopt-A-School or visit the communities, I believe, seven more times. Not as much as Pachita, but maybe one day! While I can't join every year to be part of the work, I try to donate monthly because I truly believe in the good this program does.
From making education better accessible to supporting sustainable agribusiness in the communities CONAPAC works with. This program and the people who are part of it have stolen my heart. The CONAPAC and Explorama Lodges staff have become dear friends, and the volunteers that I see regularly are now like family. Since first traveling with CONAPAC in 2013 meeting so many people that were so vastly different from each other but who were also giving, patient and intent on doing the right thing was life changing.
I don't return and continue to support just because I enjoy visiting the jungle, I do so because the people surrounding every aspect of the organization and the experiences that come with remind me there is an abundance of good in the world.

WOW! We can’t believe we’re already at 60% of our fundraising goal of $65,000 for our Adopt-A-School Program! From the start, our anonymous donor's $7,500 was matched in no time! A big THANK YOU to all our supporters! But we’re not done yet, and we still need your help.
All through the rest of December, we hope you will donate to our Adopt-A-School program to help us provide school supplies to every child in our partner communities. Our end-of-year goal is $65,000, and we believe we can reach it with your help! (All donations are received by our partners, the Detroit Zoo; 100% of your donation is transferred directly to CONAPAC.) Every child deserves the opportunity to learn and succeed. Help us give them the tools they need.
Want to donate?
We have several long-time donors and partner organizations who work tirelessly for CONAPAC; with you, we can do so much for our communities.
Our work is only possible with the many other donations, big and small, that we receive throughout the year.
